Paul BraybrookGrand Rapids, Michgan based artist After graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2005, I have been developing my own unique style and vision for the few past years. My work has hung in various venues around Michigan and is part of numerous private collections. The role of the subconscious mind is the main influence of my work and the driving force behind my creativity. I aim to find true meaning in thoughts through the imagery that I create. Setting free the influences of the world that surrounds me, I look deep into the recesses of my subconscious to discover and communicate visually what I have found. All of my paintings are created using oils liquefied in alkyd resins, and painted onto a pre-textured board that is solid black. Embedded with dynamic energy and intensity of color, each abstract work promotes feelings of peace and spirituality.
